I’m currently walking my dog in a perfect fit harness, but wish it had a bit more space behind the elbow. What harness fits your dog best???
Just read the Grainger paper. Perhaps I missed something but those authors did not actually measure how much dogs pulled on a flat collar versus harness.
It is not that harnesses “make” dogs pull more Bit it is much harder to teach most dogs not to pull on a harness
My grandmother refuses to use the harness. Says it unnecessary and in all her years of owning dogs, sheās never heard of a dog getting hurt in this manner. I told her that she is getting lucky. I am going to show this video to my grandmother. Right now she is helping me with my dog. I recently exited a long-term relationship and I need help when Iām at work.
I have a feeling, though that even after I show her this video she wonāt change because I have tried to talk to her about it before and itās gotten me nowhere.
Should I start dropping the dog off without the collar and just the harness?
I do have an alternate person to watch my dog, but my grandmother is on the lonely side and picking up my dog every day after work is giving my grandmother more attention and she isnāt lonely throughout the day.
What do you guys think I should do?
Does the harness prevent expansion during recovery phases and accelerated breathing?
The collar, often chain-based (fixed), has always been used. However, in recent times, scientific articles have appeared (funded by whom?) that highlight its “incredible” risks…
